"SEMINAL" LOS ANGELES ART-PUNK BAND SAVAGE REPUBLIC
CONFIRM RARE REUNION APPEARANCE IN LOS ANGELES,
NOVEMBER 13, 2002"

Fiercely "independent" tribal Arabic surf-art-punk band Savage Republic
today confirmed a rare performance at the Los Angeles Knitting Factory on
Wen. November 13, 2002.

Mike Watt will share the bill.

The club has fairly limited capacity and this engagement is expected to sell out
quickly. Advanced tickets are available now at the Knitting Factory website at
http://www.knittingfactory.com/kfla/calendar/ms_next_month.cfm?use_date=10%2F1%2F2002

CAMPER VAN BEETHOVEN ALSO TO PLAY REUNION
Former Independent Project Records label-mates Camper Van Beethoven
are performing at the same club this August.

SAVAGE REPUBLIC REUNION A ONE TIME DEAL TO PROMOTE
REISSUE OF COMPLETE STUDIO RECORDINGS
A spokesperson for the band said "This is a one time event. At
this point the band has no plans to reform". The band agreed to do
this one time reunion to promote the recent reissue on San
Francisco label Mobilization Recordings of the bands entire studio
works. This reissue features stunning hand letterpressed covers by
Savage Republic member Bruce Licher of Independent Project Press.
This performance will be the bands first appearance in over 13
years, since their explosive Final Performance in Claremont,
California on Feb. 25, 1989. A DVD and digital audio recording of
that last performance is scheduled for release on Mobilization Recordings
on October 23, 2002, just prior to the reunion.

SAVAGE REPUBLIC WILL ALSO HEADLINE NEUROSIS ORGANIZED
"BEYOND THE PALE" FESTIVAL IN SAN FRANCISCO
The band will also headling in
San Francisco at
the Beyond the Pale festival. Schedule details are still being arranged.
There are no other shows planned at this time. Late Breaking news on the
band's rare one time reunion can be found at
